Taylor Swift sent Teyana Taylor a special gift to celebrate the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Just days after Showgirl had a chart-topping first week, selling over 4 million album equivalent units, Taylor shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (Oct. 14) that Swift had sent her a surprise package dedicated to her new LP.
Included in the PR box was a vinyl version of Showgirl, a sweatshirt with the album's title, and a handwritten note from the 14-time Grammy winner.
"Well hi!" the letter read. "If you're reading this, you're someone who has shown love, someone I admire, and ultimately someone I'd want to celebrate with as we welcome The Life of a Showgirl into the world. I hope you like these gifts and record!"
"With love, a showgirl named Taylor," the note concluded.
Taylor responded to the present with gratitude, writing, "Thank you Tay Tay!!"
Some speculated that Swift's present was a thank-you after Taylor aired out Kayla Nicole last year when the sports personality alluded to having a relationship with Iman Shumpert while he was dating the Escape Room artist.
In August, Swift revealed her engagement to Kayla's ex, NFL star and podcaster Travis Kelce.
On an episode of Angel Reese's Unapologetically Angel, Kayla explained that she once dressed as Taylor in Ye's "Fade" music video for Halloween to troll the artist for dating Shumpert. Taylor and Shumpert were later married and then divorced.
While Taylor supported Kayla's "costume" at the time, she blasted the podcaster on Instagram Stories with Swift's "Shake It Off" as the soundtrack.
Then again, Swift may have simply sent Taylor a gift because she loved her new movie, One Battle After Another, which co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, and Regina Hall.
"Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor. How are they gonna split the Oscar in half? We will see," Swift said about the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed flick on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week.
