Nicki Minaj, perhaps in jest, is now saying that she’s “not going to put out” her recently teased 2026 album.

“Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore,” Nicki wrote in an X update on Wednesday, Oct. 15. “No more music. Hope you’re happy now [Jay-Z].”

As you may be aware, Nicki has made multiple disparaging remarks about Jay and Roc Nation in the past. In September of last year, for example, she publicly took issue with Kendrick Lamar being selected for the Roc Nation-produced Super Bowl Halftime Show. At the time, some fans had debated whether the spot should have gone to Lil Wayne instead, considering that the game in question was set in his hometown of New Orleans.

Wednesday, Nicki shared several X updates mentioning both Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez and HOV. In one, seen below, she appeared to allege that she had been approached about doing a tour and an album. Nicki tagged Jay in the post, which saw her alluding to his recently failed casino bid.

“They came BEGGING the QUEEN for a tour & album & I said NOPE!!!!! LMFAO,” Nicki wrote, in part. “Wanted to patch it up. They needed help from the QUEEN & the BARBZ.”

Amid her series of Roc Nation-focused posts, Nicki again teased a March 2026 release date for her Pink Friday 2 follow-up, only to seemingly (jokingly?) announce its cancellation hours later.

For Nicki, the bulk of recent headlines attention has come in connection with her and Cardi B’s explosively reignited feud. The sheer volume of ruthless digs exchanged by both artists is daunting, to say the least, but this piece is a good starting point.
