Cardi B isn’t particularly fond of Nicki Minaj’s “backhanded apology” to her and Offset’s daughter.
In an X update shared Thursday, Oct. 2, Nicki mentioned Kulture by name when offering an apology of sorts, amid her and Cardi’s explosive feud.
“Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose and one day you’ll understand,” Nicki wrote, as seen below. “You’re a cute child & lots of kids have cute little funny looking gums before they grow into all of their features. One day you’ll see this, so I have to say: I apologize. As a child of God & QUEEN of my community who look to me for integrity. You’re an innocent child & don’t deserve any of this.”
However, Nicki went on to take more shots at Cardi, writing, in part, “One day your mother, aunt & many more will be brought to their knees for what they’ve said AND TRIED to do to my young prophet/beautiful boy.”
Cardi was quick to respond with an X update referencing Nicki’s son with Kenneth Petty, often publicly referred to by the nickname of “Papa Bear.” According to Cardi, Nicki “can’t take my success or happiness,” leading to the Pink Friday 2 artist giving her “more attention” than her child.
“Please don’t hate me when you grow up cause your mommy rather give me more attention than she gives you,” Cardi wrote, as seen below. “Hopefully when somebody that really cares about her puts her in rehab and get her the help she needs, she come out and read you a book.”
Later, Cardi urged Nicki to “keep my child name out your mouth” and expressed a desire to stop mentioning their children amid the feud.
“Don’t give my child no backhanded apology,” the Am I the Drama? artist wrote. “Keep my child name out your mouth cause imma always take you where you don’t wanna go about mine. Honest truth this goin back and forth about kids is really draining my energy. I don’t wanna keep mentioning kids it feels very nasty and dark but the energy you keep giving my kids imma resend back to messenger.”
For several days now, Cardi and Nicki have been engaged in a verbose back-and-forth, with Cardi at one point telling fans she was busy “baking ribs and making blondie brownies” only to have “this bitch bothering me on a damn Monday.”
On Thursday’s The Breakfast Club, Nicki was named as “Donkey of the Day” by Charlamagne Tha God, who called her “MAGA Minaj” and speculated that “unhealed trauma” was at the root of her recent actions. 50 Cent and Waka Flocka Flame have also spoken critically about the feud.
