The Bighorn Mountain Ranch near Greybull, Wyoming, has returned to its original owners after six years in the hands of Kanye West.

According to Cowboy State Daily, Greg and Pam Flitner purchased the $14 million, 6,713-acre property back from the rapper in a sale that was notarized on September 17 in Zurich by West's wife, Bianca Censori.

West had purchased the ranch in 2019 from Greg's father, David, and David's wife, Paula Flitner, just months after acquiring his 3,885-acre Monster Lake Ranch. West's plans for the property included creating what he called the "Yeezy Campus" and manufacturing shoes in nearby Cody. However, those ambitions never materialized. Greg Flitner told Cowboy State Daily that his father selling the ranch fueled him to purchase it back.

"A lot of times, the estate plan isn't fully done until you're in your 50s," Greg said. "And those deals don't always go the way that you think they might. I was a partner in the ranch — Pam and I were partners in the ranch with my dad and his wife. And so that's just the way that it went, as far as the estate plan."

Over the six years that West owned the property, Greg and Pam attempted to lease it back but never received a response. The ranch was listed for sale intermittently, and the couple eventually spotted it again in September and acted quickly to reclaim it.

"It was not listed publicly at first," Pam said. "It was just honestly a fluke that we found out it was listed, and then it was taken down again. But we went ahead and got ahold of the realtor, and it was kind of a rush thing, because it sounded like the people who they were flying in to look at it, a lot of them were speculators. So, we were really worried that someone would get it and then turn it into a giant subdivision."

The Bighorn Mountain Ranch holds deep family significance as it was founded by Arthur Flitner in 1906 and has been an integral part of the Flitners' grazing operation for generations. Among the historic structures preserved under West's ownership is the family's beloved Baldridge Cabin, a log cabin that has served as the cow camp headquarters for decades. The family is also happy that Kanye didn't destroy anything.

"He did not knock down — unlike Monster Ranch — he did not knock down any of the buildings," Pam said. "They may need a little TLC, but they're all solid. He didn't go in with a bulldozer and take them down."
