Ty Dolla Sign 'Doesn't Really Wanna Talk About' His Relationship With Kanye West

It's not clear as to the status of the pair's relationship which previously saw them form the supergroup ¥$.

Ty Dolla Sign has made it clear that he doesn’t want to speak about his relationship with Kanye West.

In a recent interview with Complex, Jordan Rose asked the singer about the status of their friendship. "6 7," Ty answered, before adding: "I don’t really wanna talk about it. Next one."

When Rose pressed a little further, inquiring what Ty meant, he said, "Let’s go" — another way of saying let’s move on.

Ty’s response referenced the extremely viral meme that’s become popular among Gen Z and Gen A. Indeed, "6 7" doesn’t really have a precise meaning, and is something young people say at kind of arbitrary moments. The meme is derived from Skrilla’s 2024 song, "Doot Doot (6 7)."

While Ye has had a pretty public falling out with Pusha T and Kid Cudi, it’s not exactly clear where West and Ty stand. Last year, the ¥$ duo released the first two installations of the Vultures series. In February, months after the arrival of Vultures 2, Ty hopped on his Instagram story, condemning hate speech.

"I do not condone ANY form of hate speech toward ANYBODY," he wrote, though he didn’t directly name anyone. His remarks came after Ye went on an antisemitic rant on X earlier that month, where the Donda rapper claimed that he was a Nazi and expressed his "love" for Hitler.

Prior to Ye's rant, in January, Ty said that Vultures 3 was "on the way," as was his own album, Tycoon.
