A TikTok influencer who was arrested last year for allegedly stealing items from a Target and posting them on her page, has been arrested again — this time for violating her probation.

According to NBC Miami, content creator Marlena Velez of Cape Coral, Florida, was picked up by cops on Sunday (October 12) during a traffic stop, two weeks after evading officers in another traffic stop.

In the initial attempt to stop Velez, Cape Coral Police officers spotted her driving and flagged her down because she had an active warrant for violating her probation. The lifestyle influencer stopped her car but quickly sped away when officers approached the vehicle.

Nearly two weeks later, police located Velez and conducted a second traffic stop. When officers approached the car, she was reportedly caught attempting to hide on the floorboard on the car.

Both events come one year after Velez posted a TikTok haul of items claimed to have been stolen from Target. The 23-year-old was arrested last November for the alleged theft of $500 in items by barcode swapping, meaning she scanned fake barcodes with lower pricing for 16 items.

The haul was posted on TikTok, where Velez now has over 500,000 followers, in addition to a video where the woman was getting ready to go shopping. In the TikTok, Velez wore the exact same attire as the woman in the Target surveillance footage. Velez was charged with petty theft and later released on bond.

Since her recent traffic stop, Velez was reportedly charged with violating probation and evading police officers and remains booked in Lee County Jail without bond. But since her October 12 arrest, two TikToks have been posted on Velez's account, including of her unboxing a vacuum cleaner.
