Nikola Jokić’s older brother, Strahinja Jokić, has been handed 12 months of probation for an altercation with a fan that took place at a Denver Nuggets playoff game last year.

TMZ reports the sentence was handed down on Friday (October 10) after the NBA star’s brother pleaded guilty to one count of trespassing and one count of disorderly conduct.

The incident that led to the charge took place last April during the Nuggets' 101-99 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers. Video from the event showed Strahinja Jokić kicking a man and climbing over seats to reach him, throwing the punch that officials said caused a concussion.

He had initially pleaded not guilty, claiming he threw fists to defend an elderly person in the stands.

The video also showed the third Jokić brother, Nemanja, appearing as backup as his wife held their child and tried to diffuse the fight.

It’s not the first time one of the Jokić brothers got in a brawl caught on camera: Nikola Jokić was ejected from a 2021 game after shoving the Miami Heat’s Markieff Morris from behind.

The four-time MVP, seven-time All Star, and Olympic medalist is gearing up to play his 11th NBA season. The Nuggets start with their first regular season matchup versus the Warriors on October 23.
