The Antetokounmpos are reportedly living apart while Giannis Antetokounmpo completes his time in the NBA.
According to Greek outlet Tovima, it was reported that the Milwaukee Bucks power forward agreed to remain in the states while his wife, Mariah, and their four children live in Athens, Greece. The couple married in 2024.
Mariah and the kids, Liam, 5, Maverick, 4, Eva, 3, and their new infant, Aria, now live in an apartment complex in the "diplomatic row" of neighborhood Paleo Psychiko. Also living in the complex in separate apartments are Antetokounmpo's mom, Veronica, and his brothers, Francis, Thanasis, Kostas and Alex.
The decision to relocate was reportedly made after the basketball phenom asked his wife whether she wanted to continue living in Milwaukee or live in Athens. Their eldest children, both in kindergarten, attend private school in the city. While the family will keep in touch through video chats and flights between the states and Greece when Antetokounmpo's schedule permits, Mariah and their children have their winter holidays scheduled to visit the professional basketball star in Milwaukee.
Antetokounmpo was in Athens during the summer, where he joined iShowSpeed during his European vacation stream. At one point during the marathon, Antetokounmpo said he'll "probably" remain in Milwaukee despite fans wanting him to play for the New York Knicks.
