The Cleveland Browns are winless through two games, but hope to turn things around when they debut all-brown uniforms—fittingly sponsored by a company that helps men clean up after going #2.
The Browns will take on the Green Bay Packers in Cleveland this weekend where the players will be fitted for the first time in the "Alpha Dawg" uniform combo. The look features a matte brown helmet and all-brown jersey and pants with orange highlights.
The uniform combo is sponsored by DUDE Wipes, a flushable wipe brand marketed to men.
Before the season, the Browns announced players would wear the "Alpha Dog" uniform three times: Sept. 21 vs. the Packers, Oct. 19 vs. the Dolphins, and Dec. 7 vs. the Titans.
In revealing the uniforms, Browns Executive Vice President and Partner JW Johnson said, "'Alpha Dawg' embodies what we set out to be as the Cleveland Browns, the leaders of the pack. We're excited about this new alternate helmet and the ode it pays to the rich history of the color brown as part of our organization, switching it up from our iconic orange helmets."
Ryan Meegan, Co-Founder and CMO of DUDE Wipes added, "We're pumped to team up with the Browns for one of the most iconic helmet reveals the league has ever seen. And to celebrate, we're executing a vintage DUDE Wipes stunt out on Lake Erie."
As for the stunt, it was back in July when the team revealed a massive blowup helmet showing off the new color scheme. During the event, a cameraman fell into Lake Erie while trying to snap photos of the helmet.
He was quickly rescued and seemed to be just fine, though many wondered just how legitimate his fall was—with some assuming it was all a part of the plan to get some attention.
