Paul Pierce has learned to regret not having faith in the New York Knicks.

Before Game 2 went down on Wednesday, Paul Pierce indicated that he was so confident that the Boston Celtics would beat the Knicks after suffering a loss in the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinals match-up.

"If the Celtics lose Game 2 at home, I promise you, I'm walking here tomorrow," he said on Fox Sports 1. "I'm walking here. I'm walking here. 15 miles. I'm walking here. In my robe. No shoes on. Barefeet. If the Celtics lose."

Unfortunately for Pierce, who was drafted by the Celtics in 1998 and played 15 seasons with the team, the Knicks won 91-90. On Wednesday evening, he indicated that he was willing to follow through on his promise and walk to the FS1 studio, which is over 20 miles from where he's staying.

A man of his word, Pierce committed to the eight-hour trek to work and documented his journey on his Instagram Stories.

"This is crazy dog, I can't believe this," he said in one update. "C's got me out here like this. I'm sweating. So I'm about four miles in right now. So I think I got, like, another 16 miles? I'll keep y'all updated, I'm a man of my word."

As he detailed on Instagram, he didn't get up quite as early to do the trek as he should have, leaving at approximately 5 a.m. PST, but he was wearing a robe. It's unclear whether he's doing the walk barefoot, but his commitment to the bit was impressive regardless.

He ran into some fans along the way and was thrilled when he reached the halfway point, about three and a half hours into the walk. He shared a laugh and got some well-wishes from the fans before continuing on.
