Don't approach Joy Taylor if being religious the first thing you have to offer.
The sports commentator discussed her non-negotiables for dating during a recent appearance on Paul Pierce and Azar Farideh's podcast The Truth After Dark. Among what she's open to age-wise and in the bedroom, around the 26-minute mark of the video below, Taylor completely shut down religious men.
"I'm less and less interested in religious men if I'm being honest with you," she said.
Taylor added that she's had "negative experiences with people that lead with their religion." While Taylor considers herself a person "of faith" and comes from a Baptist family, she said she's "not really" religious.
"I don't think that just because you're a Christian that you are not living a good life," she explained. "I'm just saying, if that's the first thing that you bring to the table, it's a red flag for me."
Taylor admitted that she's "triggered" by religious men after dating them before, and she shared her concern about Christian men who think they can mold her into being "extremely religious."
"We all have a spiritual side in some way or another, but spirituality and faith and religion, to me, are are two different things," she concluded. "But it is a trigger for me."
So whether you're 25 or 70 years old, don't expect to bring Taylor to church. Earlier in the episode, Taylor detailed her preferred age range for men she'll date.
