Michael Irvin Jokes He Enticed Women Into Bed By Showing Off $1 Million Check

In an interview with Shannon Sharpe, the former Dallas Cowboys star revealed that he wasn't ashamed of flaunting his wealth to impress women.

In an interview with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin joked that early in his career, he would flaunt his wealth to impress women.

While discussing the shock he experienced when his NFL career made him wealthy, Irvin spoke about how he used his first check beyond buying a house.

"Let me tell you what I did with that first check," he said, asking Sharpe to pass over one of his cards. "'That my check right there, y'all.' That check, that million-dollar check. I left that right there on the table right in my room. So, soon as they walked in, they said, 'That's your check?'"

He then mimicked taking his clothes off. "I had my financial people calling me, 'Man, send that check, Michael, we're losing,'" he laughed. "I said, 'Shoot, I'm winning. What you talking about?'"

Irvin was selected by the Dallas Cowboys as the 11th pick in the first round of the NFL Draft in 1988. He remained with the team until a cervical spine injury ended his career in 1999. But during his time with the team, he helped them take home three Super Bowl victories.

Elsewhere during the interview, Irvin spoke about what he considers the Mount Rushmore of Florida football players. He called Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce "America's Dream," even if he thinks the Chiefs have yet to replace the Cowboys as "America's Team."
