Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has maintained that there are no plans to recast the role of Black Panther following the passing of Chadwick Boseman. While unlikely, if that stance were to change, someone came through with one of the most bizarre casting suggestions you will ever hear.
That's right, 58-year-old former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin. Now, before you outright reject the idea, the post went viral with people sharing clips involving Irvin in potential scenes. As strange as that may seem, these posts could actually change your mind.
If those clips did not convince you, how about a visual representation?
If Irvin does get cast in the third installment of the Black Panther film series as a result of this viral moment, he could star alongside Denzel Washington, who revealed in November that Ryan Coogler is writing a part for him.
Denzel admitted he does not see himself in many more movies, leaving him "only interested in working with the best," which includes Coogler. The 70-year-old actor also expressed a desire to "do things I haven’t done" and a Marvel movie would fall within those parameters.
