Kai Cenat credits his girlfriend, Gabrielle "Gigi" Alayah, with helping him navigate reactions to the two going public as a couple.

In an upcoming episode of April McDaniel and Savannah JamesEverybody’s Crazy podcast, Kai, who last month wrapped his Mafiathon 3 streaming event, noted that it took him “a long ass time” to go public with Gigi. As seen in the exclusive clip below, Kai is joined in the new interview by co-host Savannah’s husband, LeBron James.

“It took me a long ass time to, like, pop out with my girl,” Kai said in the episode, the full version of which will be out on Oct. 14. “When I did, it was just so much opinions coming at once. What I struggled with that she helped me with was I was reading these opinions, and I think it’s because I’m a streamer and shit, and I see a whole bunch of these comments and stuff.”

According to Kai, it was Gigi who helped him see these types of reactions for what they were.

“She’ll be like, ‘Yo, I’m gonna be me, regardless. We should not be giving a fuck what anybody online gotta say about our relationship, the two of us,’” Kai recalled.

Kai now sees an inherent fakeness in such comments, not to mention a good bit of projection.

“You gotta just understand a lot of this shit fake,” he said. “So it’s like when I’m hearing people just comment on shit, it’s like, y’all not happy at all. It’s the internet, and they grieving and projecting their personal lives onto other people.”

Back in December, Kai confirmed his exit from the realm of singledom, telling fans “I got a girlfriend, bitch!” Among the benefits of being in a relationship, the streaming star added at the time, are that he now wakes up feeling “better” and is able to “glow a little bit more.”
