Larsa Pippen was briefly in a relationship with Malik Beasley, but she's now admitted that it was a mistake and believes that COVID-19 contributed to their time together.
On a recent episode of The Jason Lee Show, the 50-year-old reality TV personality and ex-wife of Scottie Pippen opened up about her brief fling with Beasley, 28, who was married at the time. Lee recalled that he told Pippen that she shouldn't get involved with Detroit Pistons shooting guard, and she admitted that she "should have listened" to her friend.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the pair was spotted together at a mall, which she said was shortly after they had met. "I just met him that day," she said. "That was a mistake, but I had COVID brain. ... I feel like guys like me, is that weird?" When asked why she didn't realize it was a mistake at the time, she insisted that "COVID brain" was to blame. "I was stuck in my house, I hadn't gone anywhere, and he was there," she added. "He was like, 'Let me come see you, let me come see you.' And I thought, 'Okay, come see me.'"
When Pippen and Beasley were spotted together, the latter was still in a relationship with Montana Yao, with whom he has two children. Yao later filed for divorce in March 2025. The situation also got messy after Beasley was on the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023 at the same time as her son, Scottie Jr., but she insisted that it wasn't an issue between them.
"They had a conversation when they were on the same team, and it was fine," he said. "It wasn't like we had a really bad breakup or anything."
