Lil Yachty has returned with his latest Veeze collaboration, “Can’t Be Crete Boy.”
The song sees the two effortlessly trading raps, as they namedrop a handful of celebrities: Dr. Miami, Larsa Pippen, Odell Beckham Jr., Amber Rose, and Lionel Messi.
Amber is the first one to be mentioned in Veeze’s opening verse. “These n***as behavin' when rappers around, they actin' like Amber Rose,” he says.
Yachty next nods to Larsa and the venerated cosmetic surgeon, rapping, “I wish my bitch would try to pull a Larsa Pippen,” and “Hit his ass up like Dr. Miami.”
Veeze closes the songs out with a hat tip to Beckham, “I'm in the field rockin' Chrome like Odell Beckham” and Messi, “Mind got me paid off of kickin' shit, Lionel Messi.”
Lyrical Lemonade also produced a video for the track, which shows the two kicking in a school corridor and empty classroom.
The song’s title, “Can’t Be Crete Boy” appears to be a reference to Lil Boat’s collective, Concrete Boys, which consists of him, Camo!, Dc2trill, and Draft Day. The track follows Yachty and Veeze’s collaboration from August, “Sorry Not Sorry.”
