Dame Dash recalled a moment that Cam’ron burst into tears after he learned that Dame was carrying drugs in the car in an incident from their younger years.
Dash shared the anecdote in an interview with The Art of Dialogue as he responded to Cam amid their beef.
“I never sold a drug with Cam,” he began around the eight-minute, 30-second mark. “Know why? Because, when I was young, I was on the way to the Hill—me, him, and Big L. I made a left on Amsterdam into a checkpoint and I didn’t have a license.
“I was like, ‘Yo. I think I can get out of this but I want to let y’all know I got three bricks in the car, but I’ll wear it,’” Dash continued. “Cam started crying, man. He told us right then and there that he would put himself into [protective custody].”
Dash then shed doubt on Cam’s claim that he came up with the phrase “pause" on his own.
“You didn’t make up pause, you lost your rights,” Dash argued. “Every time you say 'pause,' you’re celebrating the godfather: me. We made that up,” Dash continued. “Stop saying it unless you think I’m the best that ever did it. Don’t act like you did it.”
Cam made a jab at Dash on social media after becoming an executive producer on 50 Cent's Paid in Full television series.
“I now have the rights to PAID IN FULL, im developing it into a premium Tv show,” Fif wrote on Instagram. “If you like God Father of Harlem your gonna love this. Cam set to Executive produce along side me, if you want in get at him I’m out of the country.”
After the announcement, Dash shared a video that seemingly minimized Cam’s involvement.
“Cam just made a post, major announcement,” Dash said. “I wanna congratulate him for making 50 his new boss. So, congratulations, Cam, 50 is now your new boss and you’re proud of it. Congratulations, my n***a.”
Dash also made a volatile appearance on The Breakfast Club this week. During the show, he threatened Charlamagne Tha God and accused the radio host of being gay.
"I'm thinking to myself, either you got a crush on this man or he's paying you. One or the other. Did you buy that shirt? ... You went and bought that? They didn't give it to you as much as you say nice things ... So, I think I think you're gay," Dash said. "I'm sorry."
