Cardi B, whose long-awaited Am I the Drama? is currently sitting atop the Billboard 200 albums chart, is alleged to be heard in newly surfaced audio passionately addressing her issues with Ice Spice. Shortly after the audio surfaced on social media, Cardi addressed the apparent leak and called for the full recording to be released.

The not-immediately-verified audio is claimed to consist of a recording of a phone call between Cardi and a manager for Spice, who was recently seen among the cast of Spike Lee’s Denzel Washiington-led Highest 2 Lowest. At one point, a voice claimed to be Cardi’s is heard shouting about wanting to “beat” her fellow artist.

“I’mma show y’all, I’m not Latto,” the voice says in the clip. “I’mma beat her the fuck up. I’mma knock her the fuck out. All y’all. I’mma beat her ass. I’mma get Riot beat up by my n***as. Y’all gonna see what the fuck is up. Y’all think I’m fucking pussy ass Latto?”

The voice alleged to be Cardi’s (and seemingly confirmed as such by Cardi herself in subsequent X updates) is then heard telling the person on the other end of the call, allegedly Spice’s manager James Rosemond Jr., to “put her on the phone right now” multiple times. The person on the other end of the call, meanwhile, repeats a request for the voice to inform them of what Spice said.

“I’ll beat you the fuck up, all y’all,” the voice responds. “I’mma beat her ass. I’mma beat her. Any red carpet, any fucking show I see her, any fucking event. I’mma fucking beat her. I’mma go in that mouth. I’m going in that mouth. I told y’all before I don’t have a problem with her.”

Toward the end of the clip, the voice is heard reiterating their desire to “beat” Spice.

“I’mma beat the shit outta her,” the voice adds. “I’m not like none of these rap bitches.”

While it’s unclear when, exactly, the purported recording was taken, some have speculated on social media that it could stem from July of last year given a reference to an Empire State Building event Spice attended that month.

Latto and Ice Spice, notably, have put their own would-be issues behind them. Earlier this month, in fact, they linked for the track “Gyatt,” commemorating its release with a joint appearance on Kai Cenat’s stream.

As for any potential responses to the alleged leaked audio, Spice’s recent sharing of a teaser for a new song presumably titled “Pretty Privilege” has raised more than a few eyebrows. In the clip, heard below, Spice raps “These bitches dirt” and “PR said no clapping back.” Simultaneously, some have speculated that these particular lyrics are instead aimed at Stunna Sandy.

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Cardi appeared to address the leak, issuing a “public apology” to Latto.

“I was ranting and hot at the moment but I fck with Latto HEAVY!!” Cardi wrote on X. “I respect everything about her including her team thats so sweet.. AND NOPE! I’m not too prideful to apologize to somebody I really respect so this my public apology and now ima privately buy her a bag.”

In another X update, Cardi called for the alleged audio to be released in its full context.

“But wait James… cuz I just know you didn’t only record the beginning of that conversation,” Cardi wrote. “Go ahead baby post the whole 11 minute convo when Ice Spice said she was in her feelings all because I said Sexyy deserved a BET Award and she had just won some iHeart award I wasn’t even thinking about.. POST IT ALL!!! You came to bang right???”

Rosemond Jr responded by saying he “did not record or leak that call,” adding that he respects “private conversations” and is “not in the business of leaking anything.”

Cardi was quick to respond, telling Rosemond Jr. he sounded “like a bitch” with his reaction.

“Your artist put a laughing emoji then leaked the convo then posted a trash ass clip of her song in less than a hour,” Cardi wrote. “This why you been avoiding the CEO’s of 10k cause you know you did it and you sound like a bitch.”

Rosemond responded by maintaining that he had "nothing to do with recordin, leakin, or even knowin that call was bein recorded."
