Dr. Dre has revealed he wants to compete in archery at the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the legendary producer reflected on the upcoming Summer Games in his hometown, and he disclosed that he was trying out for the event. The competition that Dre wants to participate in is something other than what people know him for, but he's confident he can do it as he's been invested in archery since he was a teenager.

"I'm starting to try out for the Olympics in 2028," Dre said before revealing he wants to try his hand at archery. "I'm deadass serious....I started playing around with archery in junior high. I stopped for a while, and my son bought me a setup; I don't know if it was for my birthday or Father's Day or something like that, so I have it set up in my backyard.

He continued, "I've heard that qualifying for the Olympics is 77 feet. I practice at 90. Wouldn't that be interesting to go, especially with it being here in L.A., and win a gold medal."

"I feel like I can do anything," Dre says.

Dre is so good at archery that he can give people tips on their form, as he did in 2022 when he gave Big Boy advice about the sport. In footage from their practice session, Dre showed the radio personality how to hold the bow and fire the arrow at the intended target.

Even if he doesn't get the chance to compete, Dre is sure to be a presence during the 2028 Summer Games. For the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics closing ceremony, Dre performed with Snoop Dogg, Billie Eilish, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to kickstart the four-year journey to the next Olympics in L.A.
