Latto has denied speculation that she dissed Cardi B during a performance of her 2023 song, “Put It On Da Floor.”
“Pussy, I done done it all,” the Sugar Honey Iced Tea rapper said on stage at Force Festival in Yokohama, Japan, on Oct. 4. She then repeated the word “pussy” several times before the song ended.
Latto appeared to respond in the comments section of an Instagram post about the clip. “Well, no,' she wrote.
It's important to note that in 2023, Cardi hopped on the remix of "Put It On Da Floor," called "Put It On Da Floor Again," which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Many thought Latto’s use of the word “pussy” was a reference to leaked audio from Sept. 30 that allegedly saw Bardi speaking with Ice Spice’s manager. At one point, the voice that some people believed to be Cardi’s yelled about wanting to “beat” Ice up.
“I’mma show y’all, I’m not Latto,” the voice said in the clip. “I’mma beat her the fuck up. I’mma knock her the fuck out. All y’all. I’mma beat her ass. I’mma get Riot beat up by my n****s. Y’all gonna see what the fuck is up. Y’all think I’m fucking pussy ass Latto?”
On that same day, Sept. 30, Cardi seemed to address the leak in a “public apology” to Latto.
“I was ranting and hot at the moment but I fck with Latto HEAVY!!” Cardi wrote on X. “I respect everything about her including her team thats so sweet.. AND NOPE! I’m not too prideful to apologize to somebody I really respect so this my public apology and now ima privately buy her a bag.”
Regardless of whatever transpired last month, Latto still included Cardi in her hip-hop Mount Rushmore of women rappers. She filled the rest of her picks with herself (duh), Nicki Minaj (whom she’s “open to rekindling with”), and Lil’ Kim.
