Drake and Sophie Brussaux, the mother of his child, threw a party for their son Adonis on his eighth birthday.

On Saturday (Oct. 11), Drake and Sophie’s son turned eight years old, and he received an extravagant party that appeared to have a cowboy theme, including a spotted cow cake and wanted posters featuring Adonis’ likeness. In a video circulating on social media, Drake and Sophie joined Adonis as they cut his birthday cake in front of a big crowd.

On his Instagram Story, Drake also shared a photo of Adonis in a pose that looks an awful lot like one his father would do.

Drake celebrated his son’s birthday last year with an adorable video showing them playing basketball together.

“Big Adi day happy birthday kid 7 years old,” he wrote alongside the clip. Drake also shared a letter from his son last year, in which Adonis thanked him for providing him with “such a good life” and “a good family.” The year before that, Adonis released his debut song, “My Man Freestyle,” which was an expanded version of his verse on his dad’s song, “Daylight.”

The 6 God’s birthday celebration for his son comes around the same time he shared a heartfelt birthday message to Adin Ross, the controversial streamer with whom he has collaborated multiple times over the past few years.

"Love you kid," Drake wrote on his Instagram Stories. "More life and more W's. Congrats on all the new moves and you're only getting started @adinross. My little brother—have fun and enjoy your weekend to the MAX."

The party also comes not long after his defamation lawsuit over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” was dismissed by a judge. Drake’s legal team, however, is expected to push for an appeal.
