Kali Uchis said she's pulling her collaborative track "Crashing" with D4vd after the dismembered body of a 15-year-old girl was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the "Romantic Homicide" singer.
"Not my friend i did a song with him which is currently in the process of being taken down given today's disturbing news," Uchis wrote in response to a person who called D4vd her "friend" under an Instagram carousel the singer posted.
Uchis also responded to another commenter who took issue with the question.
"its ok bb people like her are why women always get blamed for the things men do lol, the internalized misogyny of this world I suppose," Uchis wrote.
A music video for the track, which is featured on D4vd's debut studio album Withered, was released alongside the song.
As of this writing, authorities have not named D4vd as a suspect in the death of the victim, who was identified as Celeste Rivas by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. TMZ reported that both D4vd and the victim had matching tattoos that read "Shhh..." on their right index fingers. According to the outlet, Celeste Rivas' mother said that her daughter, who was first reported missing back in April of 2024, was dating someone named David.
The 20-year-old singer, real name David Anthony Burke, canceled a scheduled show in Seattle just hours after the identity of the victim was released.
