When the former star of The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner, married his final pick, Theresa Nist, it appeared that the two were fully in love and going to work out in the long run. However, after only about three months, the pair publicly shared that they would be separating.
Neither one of them wanting to leave their home states was cited as one of the reasons that they would not be staying together. However, it now appears that there is some bad blood between the two that goes a lot deeper.
Turner will be releasing a memoir entitled “Golden Years” in November. In a recent interview, he shared that the book will discuss his relationship with Nist. He also not so subtly suggested that it might not paint her in the most flattering light.
While he claims he has no problem telling his side of the story, Nist may have reason to be concerned.
"I’m not worried, I think she should be worried," he said.
"I was a bit naive; I was a bad listener. I didn’t probe well enough, and that’s both for my sake and for Theresa’s. Had I been better at some of those areas, maybe there would have been a different end," he continued.
Turner, who split from Nist in April 2024, has since found love again. He recently announced his engagement to Lana Sutton with a series of photos on Instagram.
"We've got BIG news," Turner wrote in the caption. "The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I Love this woman."
Turner claims that he’s happy that things all worked out the way they did because they led him to where he is today.
