Why Nicolle Briscoe Has Become the 'Golden Bachelor' Season 2 Villain

She’s charming, controversial, and totally unfazed.

The lemon bars put it over the top.

Nicolle Briscoe has become the villain on the Golden Bachelor's second season, and the dessert was the least of it.

But first, the lemon bars. While the other women toiled in the kitchen to surprise lead Mel Owens with the treat, the camera cut to Nicolle lounging around. But then she took credit for making them when it came time to deliver them to the former NFL player.

In another scene, Briscoe trashed the physical appearance of the women who starred on the previous season.

"I’m sorry, but the last cast? They weren’t so great-looking," she sniped.

She's also spoken openly on camera about wanting to become an influencer, using the reality television platform to propel her into Real Housewives-style fame. That prompted another contestant, Peg, to lament that she just wants to find a "nice guy." All of this is happening under Owens' nose, of course, but without his knowledge, so he keeps cutting other women and keeping Nicolle around.

Cosmopolitan panned Nicolle’s “brazen ulterior motives” on a show where “being there for the wrong reasons” has become a cliché.

“I’ve told myself from the beginning, I’m not dating Mel—I’m dating America. I’m dating everybody watching, and not watching. That gives you exposure like you’ve never had,” she said on the show.

The problem is that Owens seems to have a lot of physical chemistry with Briscoe, who isn't hesitant to wrap her arms around him in front of the other women. But every good reality show needs a villain, right? And who knows how much of it is the edits, of course.

Who is Nicolle Briscoe?

US Weekly gives her full name as Nicolle Kate Briscoe.

She is "a 64-year-old yoga instructor from Miami Beach," the publication noted, adding that she made enemies with fans from the get-go by "making out" with Owens in front of the other women and trying to barge into thei time with them.

Fans weighed in on X.

"I’m sorry but Nicole has to go I cannot stand her #GoldenBachelor," wrote one.

"I already knew what game Nicolle was playing, but for her to bluntly announce her intentions for being on the show… You do know you’re being recorded, right? You do know the other women can use this against you, right?" another person wrote.
