Complex is linking with Lexus, Chime, and Borderlands to celebrate financial progress and Brands to Watch at New York Fashion Week. On September 11, we’ll host an event in two parts at Moonlight Studios NYC in Hudson Square.
PART ONE
The first portion of Brands to Watch kicks off at 2 PM with a unique event. Fifteen minutes after doors open, Complex’s Aria Hughes will host Greg Yüna and Joey Bada$$ for Taste $old Separately, an intimate, Chime-sponsored panel discussion that seeks to prove money doesn’t always equal style. From 3:15 to 4 PM, light bites and refreshments will be served, before doors close to prepare for the night’s big party.

PART TWO
The Brands to Watch marquee event begins at 6 PM with Alissia DJ’ng to set the mood. For those with no time to waste, Chime will sponsor a VIP fast lane that allows users to skip long lines. Once inside, guests will be able to experience the Lexus Spotlight space designed by Raul Lopez of Luar. Roll through a signature luxury environment that showcases the latest Lexus GX, surrounded by creative flourishes from Lopez.
Lexus and Chime will also both have exclusive merch on hand. VIPs can pick up free Luar x Lexus driving gloves and scarves. People who sign up for Chime at the event will also receive complimentary oversized “Queens Get the Money” hoodies and T-shirts from the financial platform while supplies last.

Throughout the party, action-RPG classic Borderlands will serve up a mysterious, gamified photo op featuring a Ripper character mask. Picture-takers will even have the opportunity to win a Who Decides War x Borderlands Merch Bundle that includes a custom hoodie, tote bag, and hat, as well as a Borderlands 4 Game Code.
Alissia will be behind the decks to keep the party going until 9 PM, capping off an event filled with best-in-class brand storytelling, high fashion, luxury vehicles, financial progression, and cultural conversations that champion diversity, creativity, and forward-thinking voices.
