Tristan Thompson has been named the Chief Content Officer and Lead Advisor of a new artificial intelligence platform.

The Cleveland Cavaliers player was officially unveiled as the CCO and Lead Advisor of TracyAI during this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend. The unveiling occurred at an exclusive event hosted by ESPN’s Malika Andrews that also featured his teammate Darius Garland.

The discussion also doubled as a showcase of what TracyAI will do, which will be “delivering real-time analysis, predictive insights, and unparalleled fan engagement” according to a press release.

Thompson, who reportedly played an important role in TracyAI’s developmental process, shared firsthand insights into how the technology is set to transform the way fans, basketball analysts and players themselves engage with the game.

“This is the future of sports analysis,” said Thompson. “AI is going to change the ways fans experience the game, and I’m excited to be a part of this launch with TracyAI. TracyAI isn't just about numbers—it's about understanding the game in ways we've never been able to before.”

Thomson also expressed his excitement to be a part of the company. "I am excited to have this opportunity to be a part of this team that is creating a disruptive technology that will transform how athletes and fans deeper understand analytics in games,” he said.

Thompson’s reveal comes just days after he was involved in an on-court incident at the end of a game when he dunked the ball with 4.1 seconds left.

After Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic called out Thompson’s actions as disrespectful, he responded with, "You wanna full court press with under a minute left in the game when you get cracked by 30? This will happen to you."
