Cody and Brandi Rhodes have shared that they are thankful for “answered prayers” after welcoming their second child together.

On Friday (August 29), the two WWE superstars surprised fans, not to mention the wrestling community at large, with the announcement. While Cody himself didn't immediately go public with a statement on the birth of the couple’s new baby, Brandi shared a photo showing the infant in what appears to be a hospital setting.

"Welcome to the world Leilani Ella Runnels," Brandi wrote when making the announcement on Instagram and X. "We are in love. Thank you God for answered prayers."

Megan Morant, Willow Nightingale, Nattie Neidhart, Zelina Vega, Kim Orton and Nia Jax were among those to offer swift congratulations to the couple.

In June, Brandi marked her husband’s 40th birthday with a nod to the Turtles’ 1967 hit "Happy Together." Taking to Instagram at the time, Brandi predicted Cody is "going to crush" the next chapter of his life.

In addition to newborn Leilani, the couple share another child together, four-year-old Liberty.

Earlier this month, Cody and Brandi celebrated the launch of their own Pinkerton’s Baby & Kids boutique in the Roswell area of Georgia. Per Cody, the store stands as "a labor of love" spearheaded by his "amazing wife."

Fans can soon expect to see Cody Rhodes taking on the role of Guile in the latest live-action adaptation of Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise.

As seen on social media in recent weeks, production on the film, helmed by director Kitao Sakurai, appears to be very much underway. Though its official release date remains a mystery to fans, the film was originally slated to arrive next year. 50 Cent and Orville Peck, among others, are also in the cast.
