NBA G League player R.J. Hampton has landed himself in some hot water after his ex-girlfriend recorded him being verbally abusive while also admitting he physically assaulted her.

On Monday, a video taken by Hampton's ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Jeffcoat, circulated online showing the two in a hotel lobby arguing over the care of their child sitting on the floor near them. According to the video's caption, Jeffcoat traveled "11 hours" with her son so that Hampton could see him, but the meet-up quickly turned sour.

"Shut the fuck up talking to me bitch. Please. I don't care if you have me on recording. I could care less…," Hampton told Jeffcoat. "What I'm afraid of as for who you are, like take it in and then fighting me off of him, 'Oh my God, you're abusing me.'"

Jeffcoat replied, "No I wouldn't do that. First of all, you have put your hands on me before, so...you have. I have pictures of it and text messages of it."

Hampton asked if she had pictures of the bruises on her arms, which Jeffcoat said she did, and he claimed no one would care about those injuries. Jeffcoat then said the bruises came from Hampton, which led to him confirming that he assaulted her.

"Did I punch you or slap you? Then shut the fuck up," Hampton said before claiming he would take his son home with him and that Jeffcoat wasn't doing her job as a mother. "Stop. Don't try to play the victim right now. I'll take him to my house, he has a dad. You went to Miami, you went out and your parents kept him. I don't care if your mom is dead or alive, shut up."

Jeffcoat then told Hampton she needed a hotel, but Hampton once again said she went to Miami to be "a thot," so she should be able to get her own room. Jeffcoat later shared two more videos where she is seen crying and explaining that she was stranded while admitting she called the police since she didn't know where Hampton took their child.

Jeffcoat posted an update on her IG Stories of her son sleeping and confirming he was safe, writing, "Thank you to everyone who reached out."

The Milwaukee Bucks drafted Hampton as the 24th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, but he was traded to the Denver Nuggets, where he only played 25 games and averaged three points and two rebounds. Following his rookie year, Hampton played with the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, and Miami Heat before finding his way through the G League, where he now plays with the Delaware Blue Coats.
