Jordan Poole and Draymond Green are seemingly still at odds two years after the latter rocked the former Golden State Warrior with a punch during practice.
On Monday night, the Warriors took on the Washington Wizards in the nation's capital, and the two former teammates wasted no time going at each other during the game. Things started when Wizards rookie Carlton "Bub" Carrington shared some words with Green, and Poole stepped in between them to intervene.
A fan sitting courtside caught Green on camera appearing upset that Poole stopped the conversation with Carrington, who also looked clueless at what just happened. That wasn't the only interaction as both men also talked trash through gestures.
Right before the game went into halftime, Poole knocked down a 3-pointer on Green and pointed right at him as he ran back down the court. Shortly after that, Steph Curry hit a buzzer-beater 3-pointer and Green pointed back at Poole, who tried to block the shot.
During the postgame conferences, Green praised Poole for playing "a lot better" and for taking smarter shots. He also acknowledged Poole's determination to prove people wrong.
"I think it was a matter of [Poole] wanting it so bad to prove to people that 'I can have my own team,' that 'I can come here and be successful,'" Green said. "I think he's doing a really good job of settling in now and letting the game come to him."
Poole and Green had one of the wildest moments in NBA history when the latter snuffed the 25-year-old during training camp in 2022. The video of the incident leaked online and caused tension amongst the team. The Warriors continued on with the season, but it was clear Poole and Green couldn't work together, which led to Poole getting traded to the Wizards.
