The Dallas Mavericks were reportedly unhappy with Luka Doncic's social habits, which included regularly smoking hookah and drinking beer.

According to a report published by The Athletic, several people in the Mavericks organization found issues with the 25-year-old All-Star's habits off the court.

The report stated several people called Doncic "lazy" and had concerns about his fluctuating weight. His preference to smoke hookah and indulge in beer had allegedly been a lingering problem, and team officials reportedly believed his career would be in shambles soon.

"Make no mistake, the people who witnessed Doncic's last days in Dallas do not paint a flattering portrait of the 25-year-old's professionalism," The Atthletic's Sam Amick wrote. "They call him lazy. They talk about the weight issues that were such a frequent frustration within their walls."

Amick continued, "They predict his basketball demise, highlighting a health history that, as some see it, will likely lead to catastrophe in the next five years or so."

The 2019 NBA Rookie of the Year was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in an explosive deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Mavs. The move rocked the league and led to heavy criticism from Dallas fans.

Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison, however, received chants of "Thank You Nico" from Los Angeles fans inside the Crypto.com Arena when the Mavs took on the Lakers on Tuesday, ultimately losing 107-99.

Doncic got his revenge against his old team as he put up a solid stat line of 19 points, 12 assists, and 15 rebounds. In a postgame interview, Luka admitted it's going to take some time to get over the trade.

“The closure is going to take awhile, I think,” Dončić said. “I don’t know, it’s just not ideal. Like I said, I’m glad this game is over. There was a lot of emotions. It will go, little by little. Every day is better."
