Jayson Tatum stunned everyone when photos surfaced showing the Boston Celtics star rocking braids at Bradley Beal and Kamiah's wedding.
Tatum's teammate Jaylen Brown was unaware of this development until he appeared on his Twitch stream, giving viewers his genuine reaction to JT's new hairstyle. "They're saying JT got braids. Hell nah," Brown responded, while scrolling on his phone.
"JT got braids? Nah, that's crazy," Brown said with a smile. "That's insane. JT just doing anything now."
Tatum is embarking on a new chapter of his NBA career as he continues his recovery following surgery on a ruptured right Achilles tendon.
The six-time All-Star suffered the injury during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals when he was having arguably the greatest game of his NBA career, scoring 42 points on 16-of-28 from the field, with eight rebounds, four assists, four steals, and two blocks.
One month after Tatum's surgery, Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens provided an update on his status, saying he has "progressed well," but would not "put a projected timeline on him for a long, long time."
In a video posted by the NBA last week, Tatum discussed his rehab and did not have the braids yet.
