Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gave his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates a generous gift after he won the NBA MVP Award this week.
Multiple videos showed SGA surprising his teammates with Rolexes, as the superstar point guard relished the moment.
Gilgeous-Alexander becomes the third Thunder player to be named MVP, following Russell Westbrook (2017) and Kevin Durant (2014). According to ESPN, the Canadian athlete lead his team with 32.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
Along with thanking his wife, Hailey Summers, and family and friends Gilgeous-Alexander honored his teammates in a MVP acceptance speech on Wednesday (May 21).
"I can’t say enough how much you guys mean to me, and not only as a basketball player, but as family," the NBA star said. "I know you guys know that we do everything together, on and off the court, we do shopping, we eat. You guys are really like my brothers ... Without you guys, none of this would be possible. I want you guys to know that this award is your award, too."
