LeBron James called cap on allegations that he's a liar during a new episode of Complex's 360 With Speedy.
In the episode, which premiered on Thursday (Sept. 18), LeBron sat down with Speedy Morman, who brought up Bron's prediction of Kobe Bryant scoring 81 points in a 2006 game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors.
The NBA legend originally thought Bryant would score 70 points, which he surpassed, to which LeBron predicted that the late Lakers star would score a historic 80 points.
"I'm telling you—every time I say something, everyone think it's a fucking lie," LeBron told Speedy. "I got homies that was literally at the house with me when Kob was dropping to 81. ... I'm like, 'Oh shit. Yo, he might go for 80 tonight.'"
The forward even offered to call his friends to prove his point. "I got homies that was literally in my room. I lived in the house in Ohio at the time that's now torn down," LeBron recalled. "We sat in a small room watching the game and I was like, 'Oh shit, Kobe going for 80 tonight.'"
He continued, "He went for 81, so I did lie. Yeah, I was wrong."
Sports fans have accused LeBron of lying for years, and he was famously called out by Jalen Ramsey during a 2022 episode of The Shop.
LeBron joked about accusations of being a liar last November, when he was asked about his thoughts about Lakers small forward Dalton Knecht.
"I don’t know. The same shit I said last year," LeBron said during a locker room press conference. "Everybody on the internet calls me a liar all the time. They say I lie about every fucking thing. So what am I now? I’ve been said it."
