LeBron James brought the heat to the first night of Bad Bunny's concert residency in Puerto Rico this weekend.
On Friday (July 11), the Los Angeles Lakers star joined Benito onstage for the inaugural No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí concert. Held at Puerto Rico's José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, James was seen dancing with the three-time Grammy winner and was spotted on the jumbotron enjoying a drink and a two-step.
As noted by Bleacher Report, ahead of the concert, James posted a message on Instagram Stories, which teased his appearance at the concert. "¡Benito! Estoy en el aeropuerto de Los Ángeles ahora mismo, ¡voy a verte! Me enteré de lo que tienes planeado para mañana por la noche... LFG!" he wrote.
The Spanish-to-English translation reads, "Benito! I’m at the Los Angeles airport right now, I'm going to see you! I heard about what you have planned for tomorrow night... LFG!"
LeBron James and Bad Bunny met in 2021, where the NBA legend famously wore Nike Air Ghost Racer sneakers to meet the Latin artist.
Bad Bunny's completely sold-out residency continues until September 14, with more big names expected to make appearances. Following the shows, Benito will embark on a 56-date stadium tour beginning in November and lasting until July 2026.
On a recent episode of Mind the Game, his podcast with NBA Hall of Famer Steve Nash, James opened up about what he sees as an unhealthy focus in the league: judging players solely based on how many championships they've won. Despite having four titles himself, the Lakers star says the narrative is overblown and dismissive of individual brilliance.
"I don't know why it's discussed so much in our sport," James told Nash. "And why it's the end all, be all of everything. It's like, 'you weren't a great player if you never won a championship.' Or if you won one, then you can't be in the same conversation as this person."
He added, "You sit here and tell me Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, and Steve Nash wasn't unbelievable? 'Oh they can't be talked about or discussed with these guys because this guy won [....] It's just weird to me. It's like saying Peyton Manning can't be in the same room with [Tom] Brady or [Patrick] Mahomes because he only has one ring."
