Lando Norris is a man of the people.
In June, the F1 driver collaborated with Monster Energy to drop a special zero sugar energy drink that boasts a refreshing yuzu melon flavor profile. It quickly became a fan favorite in Europe. Now, the duo is making a pit stop ahead of the Austin Grand Prix to bring the dynamic flavor to the United States for a limited time.
The launch is officially taking place this week at the LN4 X Monster Energy pop-up store in Austin, Texas, marking the first time Lando’s clothing brand hits shelves stateside. As a trendsetter in paddock fashion, it’s a fitting coalescence of worlds, especially since the Lando Norris Zero Sugar can is wrapped in the racer’s iconic helmet design.
The festivities kicked off Tuesday, October 14, with a VIP launch party, where Norris linked with Monster Energy motocross star Haiden Deegan. In an adrenaline- and music-filled night, Deegan revved up the crowd with a dirt bike burnout, setting the tone for the energy drink’s debut. Not to be outdone, Norris hopped on a bike to do a burnout too.
"We wanted to give the people what we thought they would like the most, but also something that I enjoy drinking," he told Complex. "And yuzu melon was the combo we came to."
The pop-up officially opens October 15 in South Congress and gives fans the opportunity to cop the limited edition can and LN4’s latest merch.
To further amplify the launch, Monster Energy is hitting the Austin circuit on Saturday, surprising locals with special product giveaways at iconic city landmarks. Follow Monster’s socials (@monsterenergy) to be the first to know the secret drop spots.
If you’re in the area, be on the lookout for the city-wide drops and check out the LN4 X Monster Energy pop-up store, which is open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Wednesday through Saturday, located at 1011 S Congress Ave, Bldg 1, Ste 120, Austin. Outside of Texas, Lando Norris Zero Sugar is also available (for a limited time) exclusively at participating retailers in California, Oklahoma, and Nevada.
