Luka Doncic has turned plenty of heads this summer, sporting a slimmer figure, but says it's not because of Ozempic.

The Los Angeles Lakers star appeared on Today July 30 where he was an open book with hosts as he talked about a variety of topics, including the legacy of Kobe Bryant and his own offseason transformation.

Doncic says he and his team tried a bunch of different workouts and new diet plans, even giving up basketball for an entire month to focus on his health. Doncic says it was probably the longest he's gone without playing since starting the sport, but his health was most important.

Host Craig Melvin finally cut right to the chase, asking, "So it was just diet and exercise, that's it? No Ozempic, none of those shots or anything?"

Doncic was quick to shut the idea down, replying, "No."

He then went on to say that at just 26 years old he's got a long way to go in the league.

Last week, Doncic appeared on the cover of Men’s Health, wearing a black tank top, athletic shorts, and holding a dumbbell. The image sparked a ton of conversation around the basketball world, with many impressed by the NBA star's slimmer physique.

Of course, there will be a ton of eyes on Doncic, LeBron James and the new-look Lakers this upcoming season. Doncic was traded in a blockbuster deal from the Dallas Mavericks last season which saw Lakers' star Anthony Davis shipped off to Dallas.

The Lakers were bounced in the first round of the playoffs by Minnesota, and lots of questions surrounded Doncic's effort and whether or not he was in the best playing shape.

By the looks of it and Doncic's confidence, it appears he's on a mission to shut down the haters and bring a championship back to Los Angeles.
