On the August 18 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Naomi announced she is pregnant and relinquished the Women’s World Championship.

“I’m pregnant and I’m having a baby,” she said, per The New York Post, noting she is seven weeks along. It’s the first child for Naomi (real name: Trinity Fatu) and her husband, Jimmy Uso, whom she married in 2014.

The reveal aired during a clip from Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story segment, where Uso told viewers, “We need y’all to proceed with caution because there is a baby on board.”

The announcement capped a busy year in WWE for Naomi. She returned at the 2024 Royal Rumble after she and Mercedes Moné (then Sasha Banks) exited Raw in May 2022 over creative differences.

In March, Naomi turned heel and debuted her “Proceed With Caution” persona after being revealed as Jade Cargill’s attacker at Elimination Chamber.

Momentum continued through the summer. Naomi won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match in June, then cashed in during IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley at Evolution on July 13 to claim the Women’s World title.

It was her third world championship in WWE and fourth overall. She logged one successful defense—a Triple Threat victory over SKY and Ripley at SummerSlam—before ending a 35-day reign.

Naomi stayed in character after the news. WWE posted “THERE IS A BABY ON BOARD!” In the ring, she joked that the “Bloodline continues” and referenced her husband’s love to “Netflix and chill.” She then left the belt in the ring with a message: “I’m gonna leave my title here… I’m coming back to pick up where I left off… proceed with caution.”

The pregnancy follows last week’s on-air change, when WWE announced Naomi was not medically cleared to face SKY on Raw.

Vaquer earned her upcoming opportunity by winning the Evolution Battle Royal, but with the title vacated, WWE has yet to outline next steps.
