Seth Rollins may have walked out of Crown Jewel with one of the biggest wins of his career, but it looks like the celebration came with a price.
The World Heavyweight Champion reportedly suffered an injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at the premium live event in Perth, Australia, and the fallout carried over into the following episode of Raw.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Bleacher Report), Rollins had been seen backstage in Australia wearing a sling on his left arm since Saturday night.
The setback came after a risky moment in the ring when Rollins connected on a diving headbutt against Rhodes. Though he went on to secure the victory—his first singles win over Rhodes in their rivalry—the maneuver left him clearly shaken.
Speaking at the post-show, Rollins admitted the landing was serious. “The truth is, I told Cody that I would do anything. By any means necessary. Whatever it took, I was going to beat him,” Rollins said. “I saw an opportunity, I took it, it didn’t pay off, and honestly, there might be some long-term ramifications. But at the end of the day, I was going to lay it all on the line. I did everything in that ring, no matter what. Rough landing right there. Rough landing.”
While Rollins raised the Crown Jewel Championship in triumph, the injury news immediately cast doubt on his momentum heading into the next phase of his reign. And Monday night made things even worse.
According to ESPN, at the close of Raw in Perth, Rollins was blindsided by his own allies. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, alongside Paul Heyman, turned on the champion in a shocking betrayal that appeared to mark the end of The Vision faction.
Just hours earlier, Rollins had opened the show praising Breakker, Reed, and Heyman individually for their support. By the end of the night, they stood over him in victory after a coordinated attack.
The split was as surprising as it was sudden. Heyman, who had once delivered an ultimatum about Rollins’ future, raised Breakker and Reed’s hands in the ring, leaving the champion without backup.
The betrayal came on the same night CM Punk positioned himself as the No. 1 contender after winning a triple-threat match against LA Knight and Jey Uso, setting up Rollins for a difficult road ahead.
