Bad Bunny found himself in the middle of the action at Yankee Stadium, though not in the way fans might expect.

According to People, the global superstar was seated just a few rows behind home plate for Game 3 of the American League Division Series when a foul ball unexpectedly landed near him.

The moment came in the third inning when Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander popped a ball high into the air. Even with protective netting in place, the ball managed to clear the barrier and drop toward Bad Bunny’s section.

The 31-year-old artist, born Benito Martínez Ocasio, instinctively raised his arm to shield his head. After a bounce off the hands of another fan, the ball ended up in his possession.

Cameras quickly caught the Puerto Rican rapper-singer smiling as he held up the ball and waved to the crowd. Fans in the surrounding sections cheered as Bad Bunny turned an unpredictable moment into a memorable keepsake.

The good energy in the stands seemed to carry over to the field. Despite being down by five runs early, the Yankees mounted a dramatic comeback.

Aaron Judge delivered the turning point with a towering three-run home run off the left-field foul pole in the fourth inning, tying the game and electrifying the Bronx crowd. Jazz Chisholm Jr. added a go-ahead blast in the fifth, helping push New York to a 9-6 victory over Toronto.

The win not only staved off elimination but also forced a Game 4 at Yankee Stadium, keeping the team’s postseason hopes alive. “Tonight was special, but there’s still more work to be done,” Judge said to MLB.com afterward.

For Bad Bunny, the foul ball was just the latest headline in what has been a monumental year. Late last month, the Grammy-winning artist was announced as the headliner for Super Bowl 2026.

He later revealed that the news caught him entirely off guard. “I was in the middle of a workout,” he told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden. “After the call, I just did like a hundred pull-ups. It was very special.”
