Antonio Brown is once again making headlines, this time for targeting the Sanders family after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers waived Shilo Sanders.
According to USA Today, the former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, known for his outspoken presence online, wasted no time addressing Shilo’s departure.
In a string of tweets, Brown went after both Shilo and his younger brother Shedeur Sanders, while also dragging their father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, into the mix.
In his first shot, Brown suggested that Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur could soon face a similar fate as his brother. “Shilo out of the league today, Shedeur next,” Brown wrote, directly calling into question Shedeur’s NFL future.
Brown then escalated his remarks by taking aim at Deion, who currently coaches the University of Colorado football program. “NFL couldn’t humble Prime, now his kids gon’ pay for it,” Brown tweeted, implying that the league would use Shilo and Shedeur as a way to cut down Deion’s influence.
The criticism didn’t stop there. Brown finished his rant with a jab at all three members of the family, suggesting that Deion would attempt to honor Shilo despite his short stint with Tampa Bay. “Watch Prime retire his jersey like he was a legend,” Brown tweeted, adding another layer to his trolling of the Sanders clan.
This isn’t the first time Brown has gone after Deion or his sons. The retired wideout has publicly feuded with the family before, using social media as his platform of choice. Whether or not Deion chooses to respond this time remains to be seen.
