Shane Gillis and Druski Troll Eagles With ESPYs Skit About 'Tush Push': 'Dive Right Into His Butt'

ESPYs host Gillis portrays a janitor in the sketch who tells the team "At the snap, you dive right into his butt."

Philadelphia Eagles fan Shane Gillis roasted the controversial "tush push" play in a hilarious sketch featuring Druski

Introduced at Wednesday's ESPYs an "exclusive movie trailer premiere" about "the untold story of a man who was instrumental in the Eagles' Super Bowl victory," the sketch sees Druski portray a frustrated football player who is given a detailed explanation of the "tush push" by a janitor, played by Gillis.

"You guys are getting stuffed," Gillis says after walking into the locker room. "You can't get short yardage. Football is a game of inches. Right now, you guys aren't getting those inches. But I have a play. Been dreaming about it my whole life. It requires the entire offense as one. A play that cannot be stopped. ... You guys want to hear the play? Picture this: You're going to line up at center. JT, you're going to line up right behind him. We're going to get two guys behind you. This is where the play gets good. At the snap, you dive right into his butt. And then, both those guys behind him are going to grab him by the hips and shove him even harder into your butt."

Druski protests the idea, but Gillis keeps trying to convince him that having "ten guys barging right into your back door" is a good idea. "Is that even a legal play?" Druski asks. "Yes," Gillis replies.

The play sees a quarterback pushed through the defensive line by the players behind him to gain short yardage or score near the goal line.

The "tush push" is believed to have originated with Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr, although the Philadelphia Eagles later made the play famous. Earlier this year, there were discussions about banning the play, but it was ultimately voted against. Barr defended the play and said it's "a slippery slope" if it were to be banned. "You ban one play and then what's next?" he said. "So I think you just gotta find a way to stop it."

The sketch ends with a jab at the teams who wanted it banned. "The weaker, softer teams are going to have to get together and vote against it like cowards," he jokes. "Pathetic, right?"
