Jake Paul isn't buying iShowSpeed's claim he would win in a hypothetical boxing match between them.
Paul, 27, reacted to the comments made by IShowSpeed, 19, fresh off his controversial victory against boxing legend Mike Tyson, 58. Speed indicated that he was confident he could beat out Paul, but the YouTuber-turned-boxer responded with a comment on an Instagram post from The Bread Batch reporting on Speed's claim. "Speed knows better," he wrote. "My guy was playing for sure."
This comes after Paul's manager, Nakisa Birdarian, also commented on a Bread Batch post to tell Speed to put his money where his mouth is. "Cool. Tell him I have $10 million for him right now," he wrote. "Sign this week. If he beats Jake, he gets a $10 million bonus. Put your signature where your clout is."
During IShowSpeed's conversation on 360 With Speedy at ComplexCon 2024 in Las Vegas over the weekend, the popular streamer and YouTuber said he isn't afraid of any challenges and could take on any boxing if given the appropriate time to train.
"I feel like I could beat Jake Paul in a fight," he said. "If I have six months, all I need is six months. If I have six months of training, I'm beating any monster in this world. I think I'm knocking him out. In, like, the fifth or sixth round... It's just going to be that one good one. You know like when Gervonta Davis got that one on Ryan [Garcia]? One good one, he's done, sleep."
Paul has no shortage of potential competitors when it comes to his next fight, including Gervonta Davis, 30. At least both Speed and Davis are closer to Paul's age than Tyson, who recently lost a boxing match to Jake Paul which ended in a unanimous decision.
