Nike is collaborating with the popular Japanese manga series Yu-Gi-Oh! on a pair of Air Max 95s releasing this year.
News of the Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Max 95 was first reported by Sneaker News, and a source familiar with the project confirmed to Complex that the release will arrive in the fall.
This collaboration directly references the character Joey Wheeler famously buying and wearing the classic Air Max runner in the series, as seen in the Instagram post below. In the manga, the sneaker was also called the Air Muscle instead of the Air Max 95, which is likely due to the legalities of including the name of the silhouette.
Per Sneaker News, two colorways of the Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Max 95 collab will be released, but images of the sneakers have yet to leak. Also expected to drop as part of the collection are a Nike Destroyer jacket and t-shirts.

UPDATE (08/12): Nike has officially unveiled its Air Max 95 collabs with Yu-Gi-Oh! today, sharing that two versions of the shoe are dropping on Sept. 12. The "Joey" colorway (pictured above) will be available globally via SNKRS and at select retailers, while the grey-based "Jonouchi" makeup will be released exclusively in Japan at select stockists. The collab also includes matching apparel pieces, including a Nike Destroyer jacket as well as various t-shirts.
