Reigning World Series champion Shohei Ohtani is getting his own colorway of the popular New Balance 990v6, but acquiring a pair won't be an easy feat.
Coinciding with the 2025 MLB World Tour: Tokyo Series taking place in Ohtani's home country next week, the brand is dropping a new collection for its superstar athlete. In the lineup is a range of apparel, along with this New Balance 990v6 dropping online exclusively in Japan.
The sneaker, which was shared by House of Heat, sports a green, navy, and sail color scheme reminiscent of the jerseys worn by the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, the team Ohtani previously played for before joining the MLB. Ohtani's signature logo can also be found on the sneaker's insoles.
While the 990v6 will only be available online, the rest of the collection will launch at New Balance's The Ohtani Tokyo Pop-Up Experience in Shibuya from March 15 to 23.
