Salehe Bembury has designed his own iteration of the premium Made in UK New Balance 1500 sneaker, as evidenced by these images here.
Newly leaked photos from @Brandon1an on X show an early look at the footwear designer's tan-colored 1500 collab. As is the case with most of the Made in UK range, the sneaker was produced in the brand's Flimby factory and comes with a higher price tag. The upper is equipped with a combination of mesh and soft pigskin suede overlay panels, while co-branding is embroidered on the tongue. Completing the design is an Encap-cushioned midsole. The final result is one of Bembury’s most subtle sneaker collabs to date.
According to @Brandon1an, Bembury's Made in UK New Balance 1500 collab will hit stores later this month for $275, but this has yet to be confirmed by Bembury or New Balance. Check back soon for official updates.
UPDATE (02/04): Bembury has officially confirmed that his "Growth be the Tree" New Balance 1500 collab will be released on Thursday, Feb. 6, exclusively at Beaspunge.com for $275. A wider launch of the project is expected to arrive at New Balance stockists in the coming weeks.
