It's not often that Ja Morant's Nike signature sneakers are tied to a collaborative project, but the Memphis Grizzlies guard will soon release a new Ja 2 collab with Kool-Aid.
Newly leaked images from @yyt_snkrs on Instagram show an early look at the upcoming Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 collab. The sneaker features a mismatched color scheme on the upper that appears to resemble the Kool-Aid Man's ensemble. The left shoe dons a blue hue, while the right pair features a red makeup along with a graphic of the Kool-Aid Man on the tongue. Morant's "12 a.m." logo is embroidered on the heel, while the Kool-Aid Man's "Oh, yeah!" catchphrase appears behind the tongue.
Morant also addressed the leaked images of his Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 collab on social media on his Instagram Story this weekend by posting a sample version of the shoe along with the caption, "gon start leaking my own shoes."
At the time of writing, release details for the Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 have yet to be announced by either of the parties involved.
UPDATE (04/14): Nike has officially unveiled the Kool-Aid x Ja 2 collab, revealing two upcoming colorways for the project. The releases kick off with the arrival of the "Mixed Berry" colorway (shown above), hitting retailers on May 16, followed by the "Tropical Punch" iteration dropping on July 1. Both pairs will drop on SNKRS and at select retailers for $130 each.
