10 adidas Sneakers We’d Like To See Updated With Boost Technology

We imagined adidas' Boost technology on ten classic Three Stripes silhouettes.

None

Fusing old designs and new technology is nothing new in footwear. Nike has been making a killing doing it for decades with Air Max and adidas is starting to get into the game a little more by adding Primeknit uppers to some of its iconic kicks. We're not mad at all-Primeknit-everything, but if you got your hands on the Pure Boost, you'd know the foam cushioning technology is the move and literally feels like you're floating on air.

We took our favorite adidas kicks and meshed them with its Boost tech so you can see firsthand what they'd look like if they ever came to fruition. Adidas, consider this our petition to make them happen, so here are 10 adidas Sneakers We’d Like To See Updated With Boost Technology.

Stan Smith

The Stan Smith turned 50 this year and even after a half a century, the classic design is still a lifestyle favorite. The shoe moved major units last year when it was re-introduced and a Kanye West co-sign didn't hurt either. Typically, we wouldn't wanna ruin the magic but adding Boost to adidas' best selling shoe of 2014 might be a way for them to keep stealing Nike's glory in the casual lane.

Samba

These were your go-tos for indoor soccer as a kid and looked equally dope when you weren't trying to bend it like Beckham. Although you probably don't keep the Sambas in rotation like you used to, adding Boost's maximum cushioning would make it tough to pass on a childhood staple

ZX 8000

Retro runners picked up where retro hoops left off. One of the most underrated shoes in the mix has been the ZX 8000. It doesn't get the same love as the Flux but it's easily adidas's hottest sneaker in the ZX series. Mix the sci-fi futuristic upper with foam cushioning and the original colorway? Too tough.

Micropacer

When sneaker brands unveil new silhouettes the technology is always the main story, but nothing really surprises people anymore. In 1984, the Micropacer actually had a small computer in it, during a time when people didn't even have computers putin' in their own homes. Take a truly innovative shoe and incorporate the industry leading technology in 2015—game over, b.

Superstar

No brainer. The Superstar is back strong in 2015 getting it's own remastering look. Between the Pharrell collabs and upgraded materials, the next move is simply swapping in Boost to give adidas most iconic shoe and even smoother ride.

Top Ten

The Top Ten isn't likely to make its way back on the hardwood in 2015, but incorporating Boost into the hoops shoe and letting non-signature Three Stripes athletes ball in them would be a good look for the brand.

Equipment Running Support '93

The Equipment Running Support '93 made a strong comeback in 2014 after hitting boutique shelves and getting a crack collab from Pusha T. The retro runners are the rage and updating the classic model with the supreme foam cushioning would make it tough to rock anything else.

SL Loop Moc

Bruh Bruh, do you have the original SL Loop Mocs? The shoe is already aesthetically perfect and mad comfortable to rock. No doubt adding Boost and a few new colorways would have people hype to grab a few pairs.

Tubular 93

The updated Tubular Runner was a major surprise for The three Stripes casual line, selling out of colorways in weeks at most major retailers. The original '93 inspiration is still the better look and even the Runners foam-like midsole design looks ill, it just isn't Boost.

ZX Flux Slip On

ZX Flux Slip Ons and Boost cushioning? You might wear these jawns to Starbucks, work, and even the club. They're just too cozy.
