Adidas Crazy 1 'Sunshine'
Price: $120 USD
Where to buy: Adidas Canada
When these sneakers first came out, they were originally branded as the Kobe 1 and received very mixed reviews. Inspired by the Audi TT, the odd-looking basketball sneaker was seemingly ahead of its time. Fast forward to today and it still appears like it could belong in the future. In 2013 it was reintroduced as the Adidas Crazy 1. This classic colourway, dubbed “sunshine,” was made famous when Kobe worn them in the 2001 NBA All-Star Game. Be on the lookout as they will be dropping April 1 and are likely to move very quickly.
Air Jordan 1 ’85 'Georgetown'
Price: $225
Where to buy: Nike Canada, Livestock, Foot Locker Canada, Champs Sports
As of late, Jordan 1s have been on top of the list for hottest sneaker releases that always sell out. This variation has the 1985 touch with that retro shape coupled with the Georgetown colourway, which is guaranteed to make this pair one of the hottest releases in April. There is a hint of yellow on the tongue to add to this sneaker’s vintage vibe. Releasing April 2, be ready to try joining every raffle or source possible to lock in a pair.
Union LA x Air Jordan 2 'Gray Fog'
Price: $225 USD
Where to buy: Union Los Angeles Raffle
The Union LA and Jumpman collabs have always done well. The Jordan 1 specifically has been fetching a resale value of over $2000 in many sizes. The Union Jordan 4s didn’t do as well in terms of hype but they sold out quickly nonetheless and some colourways still fetch a resale price of $900-1200. Working with the Jordan 2 silhouette was an interesting choice, as it does not get a lot of love despite being one of the pre-14 Air Jordan models. This sneaker was done right, in my opinion, and it’ll be very interesting to see how the release rolls out. Dropping April 8, you can most likely expect a raffle with Union L.A.
Air Jordan 3 'Muslin'
Price: $275
Where to buy: Nike Canada, Livestock, Footlocker Canada, Champ Sports
The much-loved Air Jordan 3 is getting a new colourway just in time for the summer. The ‘Muslin’ uses a heavy-duty canvas upper and strong cement grey suede. This is definitely a pair that might be tricky to keep clean due to the uppers but while they’re fresh, they are sure to turn some heads. They drop March 25, so get your alarms set!
Adidas Yeezy QNTM 'Mono Carbon'
Price: $250 USD
Where to buy: Adidas Canada
When Adidas first released the YZY QNTM, it was a super desirable kick. It has since fallen off the hype train, although it is a very unique and well-crafted sneaker. The retail price of $250 USD for a basketball sneaker could be a big reason why subsequent releases started to sit on shelves. This upcoming “Mono Carbon” colourway is a clean and beautifully crafted sneaker with the mix of Prime-knit construction and 3M elements. It drops March 25 and may not sell out right away, so if you’re looking to add a bit of heat to your closet, this is a solid option.
Nike Air Max 1 'Blueprint'
Price: $160 USD
Where to buy: Nike
Releasing on Air Max Day, the Air Max 1 “Blueprint” is one of three Air Max 1s all set to drop together. This fun colourway features light blue suede uppers with a mix of sail and white. The iconic Nike swoosh features a grid-like design that you’d see on a blueprint. The insoles of the shoes also have a spec breakdown of the Air Max 1 with build layers stacked above the State of Oregon—where the Nike World Headquarters resides—then above the United States, then above the globe. Likely to be a tough pickup. Try your luck on Air Max Day, March 26. This is a North American exclusive release.
Puma CA Pro RE.GEN
Price: $80 USD
Where to buy: Puma.com
This is a sneaker with a cause: to reduce environmental impact. The Puma CA Pro RE.GEN uses recycled fibers in an effort to reduce industry waste and repair our changing world. This casual California collection from the ’80s gets Puma’s RE.GEN treatment in a clean and easy-to-wear colourway. Even with the lower price point, this sneaker may still be quite easy to grab after its release on March 28.
Puma x DC Justice League Cali Star Wonder Woman
Price: $120
Where to buy: Puma Canada
DC fans will be happy to see this collaboration with Puma. The Cali Star Wonder Woman sneaker is exactly what you’d envision Wonder Woman rocking on a casual day. The not-so-subtle colourway and badges beautifully decorate this entire shoe, so you know it’s a Wonder Woman tribute from every single angle. Available on March 30 and likely to be a limited run, you’ll want to grab this on release day.
Reebok x Maison Margiela “Club C”
Price: $450 CAD
Where to buy: Reebok.ca
High fashion and sneakers collide again in yet another collaboration between Reebok and Maison Margiela. Also dropping in an all-black colourway, this “Club C” sneaker is easily the most reserved in terms of styling and colourway. According to Reebok, “This sneaker is inspired by the concept of “Memory of,” which is a process evoking the memory of something that used to be there, but no longer exists. The result is a reworked, deconstructed, and essentialized version of a Reebok icon with only the memory of the original left. Carrying a hefty price tag of $450, you can pick up a pair for yourself in white or black on March 25.
Nike Air Max 1 'La Ville-Lumière'
Price: $225 CAD
Where to by: Nike.com
Also dropping on Air Max Day, the Nike Air Max 1 “La Ville Lumière” will be available on March 26. This women’s Air Max 1 pays tribute to the historic city of Paris. The construction of this sneaker features premium nubuck and a combination of natural colours such as Summit White, Light bone, and hints of Navy to represent the fashion and tradition within the city. The iridescent panel wrapping the shoe shine on, just like the City of Light. This super clean sneaker also comes with a hang charm. Expect this drop to be a quick seller.
