MrBeast Thinks the U.S. Healthcare System Should Be 'Fixed'

He explained his belief after filming a video with amputees who had been denied by insurance companies.

MrBeast believes that the U.S. healthcare system needs to be “fixed” after filming one of his latest YouTube videos.

The popular YouTuber recently made a video in which he helped 2,000 amputees walk again and at the end of it, he opens up about the country’s healthcare system and its faults. “The fact that some of these people had insurance and were denied, some of these people had insurance but didn’t have the right coverage, it doesn’t sit right with me,” he admitted.

“Their only hope for getting a prosthetic leg so they could walk again so they could go get a job is for a Youtuber to step in and help them, which is absurd,” he added. “I don’t know what the answer is, but I did this so the 100 million people watching this could get inspired because what I saw is obviously just not okay.”

MrBeast also hopped on X and gave another statement about the situation. “Just uploaded a video where we helped 2,000 amputees walk again,” wrote MrBeast. “Many lived in America and it feels so disgusting that in a country with this much wealth, a fucken YouTuber is their only option to get a prosthetic leg. We need to fix this.”

Responding to a publication posting the clip of his statement about the healthcare system on X, MrBeast continued to express his frustration with what he experienced when making the video. “A lot of the people we helped walk again literally couldn’t work because they could not walk,” he wrote. “Even if you look at this from purely an economical lense and not a moral lense, helping them allows them to work and pay taxes. So I genuinely can’t comprehend why we don’t.”

Last year, MrBeast announced that through his partnership with TeamSeas, 34 million pounds of trash were removed from the ocean. He announced the outcome of the initiative that came about in October of 2021. Prior to that, the two parties came together for an initiative to plant 20 million trees by 2020 — and they succeeded.
