Jay-Z and Michael Rubin are hosting a $250,000 blackjack event in Atlantic City on Sunday (Sept. 15).

Page Six reports that the duo have teamed up to host this exclusive event to commemorate the opening of the new Fanatics Sportsbook at Ocean Casino Resort. This collaboration makes sense, as Jay-Z is a co-founder and owner of Fanatics Sportsbook, while Rubin is the CEO of Fanatics.

This invite-only tournament will feature high-profile guests, Fanatics Sportsbook customers, and friends, who will be able to watch NFL Sunday games while playing blackjack.

Last month, Jay-Z gave the world a glimpse of the reimagined 40/40 Club with a pop-up event at Fanatics Fest NYC. Attended by celebrities like Quavo and Travis Scott, plus sports legends like Tom Brady and Carmelo Anthony, the invite-only experience let its guests place live bets while watching sporting events at the venue.

It doubled as a preview of the forthcoming 40/40 Club return, which is coming more than two years after its Flatiron District location closed its doors.

More recently, Jay-Z’s been in the news facing backlash for his role in getting Kendrick Lamar to perform at the Halftime Show of next year’s Super Bowl. Since Jay-Z and Roc Nation served as the strategists that handle the NFL’s live music entertainment, he’s been looked at sideways for having Lamar perform in New Orleans when hip-hop legend Lil Wayne is from the city and has made it clear in the past he’d love to perform at the Super Bowl.

Birdman hopped on X to voice his frustration towards the NFL and, presumably, Jay-Z. “These ni***z Pussi @NICKIMINAJ @Drake @LilTunechi YMCMB. I’m make these ni***z respek us on Gladys,” Birdman wrote.

Nicki Minaj, similarly, defended Lil Wayne with her own post. "One n***a took a knee. The other n***a took the bag," she wrote, seemingly referring to Colin Kaepernick. "He gon get you 'n*****s' in line every fkng time.”
